Working Woman’s Dilemma

I have a great sense of admiration for woman who made it to the top taking care of their children and family. Those who have had a sucessful career and a well disciplined supportive family. By family I mean her children , husband, parents and in-laws.

Someone who has managed to be good at all is definitely a super human being. I myself go through a dilemma when I think I have to choose between the two. A career at the top and my time with my child . Both being very important to me its being a struggle for me to choose the right path.

Is it not tough to leave being a Director or a VP somewhere , give it up all to be with your kids? These positions indeed demand a lot of your investment in terms of time and personal commitment. So why did I work so hard all these years to get here , just to get there and leave it there? Do men go through same kind of stress ?

While your children can be great stress busters, they are not just that. It needs a whole lot of dedication and patience to teach them things, to help them understand and to help them excel in what they do , while teaching them values.

How does one manage to be there at both the ends at the same time? How does a woman use her strength to be a good mom , while managing her own aspirations ? How do you maintain the balance to do it all and not let any of it fall of the place?

People talk about time management, part time jobs, moral values etc. However in reality no one offers a part time VPs position or a part time Directors role.

Its a tough choice one has to make. You want to see her bright smiling face so you feel happy and you want a promotion so you get the required "high" to feel good within.

You want to see your young one shine thru her/his classes and her/his activties while we are al set to dine with a CEO for some conference.

Its a tough race and all you woman out there who are making it work , I think its a kudos to you.

You ladies rock !!!
